Food producers and retailers are faced with it more and more: recalls. ‘The increase started 10 to 15 years ago. Society no longer accepts things to go wrong. We want to have control over our lives as much as possible, including the products we eat and drink’, says Leo Jansen, loss adjuster for nearly 25 years and as such frequently involved in recalls. On behalf of his employer Cunningham Lindsey, he started, together with Bex* communication and law firm Kennedy Van der Laan, Recall Solutions: a one-stop service desk that takes care of retailers’ needs in case of a recall.
