You won’t know how a product recall will develop until you’re faced with one, unless you simulate a recall. The objective of a recall simulation is to find out how efficient your organisation operates when recalling products and how a recall will impact your organisation.
Examples of questions are:
- Do you comply with laws and regulations when it comes to the crunch?
- Does your tracking & tracing work as planned?
- What do you do if products you recalled show up in market stalls abroad?
- Does the company you selected to destroy your products in an eco-friendly way, even answer the phone?
The simulation is a form of serious gaming. Depending on the complexity and desired reality level, the simulation will take a half to a full day. Afterwards the bottlenecks will have been identified and can be dealt with.
